So yesterday I had a training session and he kicked my butt!!!
My diet was really really good…I had protein shakes, fruit, grilled chicken, yellow rice, black beans and veggies.
I didn’t eat any fried food, sweets, or fast food…although I do feel that I may have overdone it w/the yellow rice, so today I’m cutting back on the starches.
Oh I bought a juicer…which should be interesting to try out.
Today I ran…9 laps around the track…I really think that it was 8 but I lost track so I decided to do another just in case.
I really think I’m going to reach my fitness goals in the next 5 weeks guys!!! I’m so excited.
Last year I had major plans for my weightloss efforts…and I did fairly well…went from 157lbs to 138lbs at my lowest weight, but keeping it off proved challenging to say the least…yo yo dieting, tapered off workout regimens, but I never went more than 2 weeks w/o doing something.
I even had extreme months where I ran 100 miles while doing the P90X/Insanity Hybrid…crazy right, but my diet sucked the majority of the year so my efforts seemed fruitless…
…well I’m back at it, I weighed in at 148lbs this morning…yes 2lbs more than 3 months ago I know…but this time WILL be different for various reasons:
I have a personal trainer…the best in the city if you ask me. I start training next week.
I’m training for a 15K on March 10th, so my workouts and diet have to be on point if I’m going to slim down to an ideal running weight.
I started a nonprofit Fit for Life, Inc that promotes a healthy lifestyle and the challenges ordinary people face trying to stick to it.
I’m tired of being overweight. Point. Blank. Period.
This was Week 1 of 10 and so far this is what I’ve done.
Monday: Spin and Yoga
Tuesday: Spin(impuslive) and 2 miles(a very bad idea after Spin)…time 25:52…a little slow but it was nonstop.
Weds: Nothing…I wasn’t feeling well.
Thurs: 2 miles 23:41…yep getting faster. As reps decreased weights increased Leg Press 3x10,8,6 Weighted Calf 3x10,8,6 Seated Curl 3x10,8,6 Iso Glutes(each side) 3x10,8,6 Weighted Squats 3x10,8,6
Tomorrow is my REST day thank goodness b/c I’m sure my legs will be sore by morning.

My body is really sore from Sunday’s run and yesterday Shoulders, Chest, and Triceps…Tony put a hurting on me!!
I am sooooo not looking forward to Max Interval Circuit today…nonetheless I’m down 6lbs(yipeeeee), 10 more to my goal weight, so I’m going to keep pushing!!!
DISAPPOINTMENT. It is not only about wht happens to us, it is also about what we do or not do for ourselves. The root cause of disappointment is not stating your true intentions at the outset of any endeavor.
It is a fantasy to believe that people can disappoint you. People ALWAYS show you who they are. It doesn’t matter what they promise, if you check the record of your relationship w/this person, you have definite evidence of who the person is.
Another road to disappointment is to do something you know is not right w/the hope of gaining from it. You can not gain something good when harming someone in the process. The universe won’t allow it.
When we are not aligned w/the law, and do not tell the absolute truth to our ourselves and others involved, we will find ourselves in a sea of disappointment.
When you really want something, don’t make anyone else responsible for you getting it.
My run route was extended this morning b/c the Main St. bridge was closed due to the building formerly known as the Modis was becoming the Wells Fargo building…so now they have 2 buildings bearing their name w/i a block of one another.
Hey guys…this is start of Week 4 and to say that I’ve been distracted is an understatement.
I thought that I could facebook, workout, study, work and parent….uhhhh yeah, NGBATDI(not gonna be able to do it).
So now it’s time prioritize…NO FACEBOOK!! I realize that I eat more when I’m plugged in, b/c I get hella invites for lunch, dinner, and happy hour dates from my friends. I love nothing more than to fellowship with my friends over the honored tradition of breaking bread, but this temporary sacrifice is needed to focus on my goals.
…and everyone posting pictures of their dinners and desserts doesn’t help either…talk about social marketing.
I actually weigh more than I did when I started this journey a little over 3 weeks ago, it’s time to kick this thing into high gear!!
So I’m back!
I missed yesterday’s Plyo workout so I did it this morning. I’m going to ARX and Shoulders and Arms tonight. I’m also going grocery shopping today to restock up on my fruits and veggies and trashing all “reward” snacks.
I’m in this to win!!!!!
