&lt;p&gt;My diet was really really good&amp;#8230;I had protein shakes, fruit, grilled chicken, yellow rice, black beans and veggies.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I didn&amp;#8217;t eat any fried food, sweets, or fast food&amp;#8230;although I do feel that I may have overdone it w/the yellow rice, so today I&amp;#8217;m cutting back on the starches.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Oh I bought a juicer&amp;#8230;which should be interesting to try out.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Today I ran&amp;#8230;9 laps around the track&amp;#8230;I really think that it was 8 but I lost track so I decided to do another just in case.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I really think I&amp;#8217;m going to reach my fitness goals in the next 5 weeks guys!!! I&amp;#8217;m so excited.&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://teacia.tumblr.com/post/15618999652</link><guid>http://teacia.tumblr.com/post/15618999652</guid><pubDate>Tue, 10 Jan 2012 09:31:35 -0500</pubDate></item><item><title>So I'm Running A 15K...</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Last year I had major plans for my weightloss efforts&amp;#8230;and I did fairly well&amp;#8230;went from 157lbs to 138lbs at my lowest weight, but keeping it off proved challenging to say the least&amp;#8230;yo yo dieting, tapered off workout regimens, but I never went more than 2 weeks w/o doing something.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I even had extreme months where I ran 100 miles while doing the P90X/Insanity Hybrid&amp;#8230;crazy right, but my diet sucked the majority of the year so my efforts seemed fruitless&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;#8230;well I&amp;#8217;m back at it, I weighed in at 148lbs this morning&amp;#8230;yes 2lbs more than 3 months ago I know&amp;#8230;but this time WILL be different for various reasons:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a personal trainer&amp;#8230;the best in the city if you ask me. I start training next week.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m training for a 15K on March 10th, so my workouts and diet have to be on point if I&amp;#8217;m going to slim down to an ideal running weight.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I started a nonprofit Fit for Life, Inc that promotes a healthy lifestyle and the challenges ordinary people face trying to stick to it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m tired of being overweight. Point. Blank. Period.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;This was Week 1 of 10 and so far this is what I&amp;#8217;ve done.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Monday: Spin and Yoga&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tuesday: Spin(impuslive) and 2 miles(a very bad idea after Spin)&amp;#8230;time 25:52&amp;#8230;a little slow but it was nonstop.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Weds: Nothing&amp;#8230;I wasn&amp;#8217;t feeling well.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thurs: 2 miles 23:41&amp;#8230;yep getting faster.
As reps decreased weights increased
Leg Press 3x10,8,6
Weighted Calf 3x10,8,6
Seated Curl 3x10,8,6
Iso Glutes(each side) 3x10,8,6
Weighted Squats 3x10,8,6&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tomorrow is my REST day thank goodness b/c I&amp;#8217;m sure my legs will be sore by morning.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;My workout&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;50 crunches&lt;br/&gt;
25 bicycles&lt;br/&gt;
25 reverse bicycles&lt;br/&gt;
25 crunchy frogs&lt;br/&gt;
50 mason twists&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Increased weights as reps decreased&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Leg Press 4x10,8,6,12&amp;#160;&lt;br/&gt;
Weight Calf Raises 4x10,8,6,12&lt;br/&gt;
Abductors(inside/out) 4x10,8,6,12&lt;br/&gt;
Isolated Glutes(each leg)&lt;br/&gt;
Leg Extensions 4x10,8,6,12&lt;br/&gt;
Leg Curls 4x10,8,6,12&lt;br/&gt;
Weighted Squats 4x10,8,6,12&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;10 mins on the stairmaster&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;15 mins in the sauna&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It is a fantasy to believe that people can disappoint you. People ALWAYS show you who they are. It doesn&amp;#8217;t matter what they promise, if you check the record of your relationship w/this person, you have definite evidence of who the person is.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Another road to disappointment is to do something you know is not right w/the hope of gaining from it. You can not gain something good when harming someone in the process. The universe won&amp;#8217;t allow it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When we are not aligned w/the law, and do not tell the absolute truth to our ourselves and others involved, we will find ourselves in a sea of disappointment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I thought that I could facebook, workout, study, work and parent&amp;#8230;.uhhhh yeah, NGBATDI(not gonna be able to do it).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So now it&amp;#8217;s time prioritize&amp;#8230;NO FACEBOOK!! I realize that I eat more when I&amp;#8217;m plugged in, b/c I get hella invites for lunch, dinner, and happy hour dates from my friends.  I love nothing more than to fellowship with my friends over the honored tradition of breaking bread, but this temporary sacrifice is needed to focus on my goals.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;#8230;and everyone posting pictures of their dinners and desserts doesn&amp;#8217;t help either&amp;#8230;talk about social marketing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I actually weigh more than I did when I started this journey a little over 3 weeks ago, it&amp;#8217;s time to kick this thing into high gear!!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So I&amp;#8217;m back!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I missed yesterday&amp;#8217;s Plyo workout so I did it this morning. I&amp;#8217;m going to ARX and Shoulders and Arms tonight.  I&amp;#8217;m also going grocery shopping today to restock up on my fruits and veggies and trashing all &amp;#8220;reward&amp;#8221; snacks.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m in this to win!!!!!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;#8230;see you on the flip side my good people.&lt;/p&gt;

I overdid it in the first round although Tony TOLD me not to &lt;em&gt;slaps hand&lt;/em&gt; so my arms gave way during the decline push ups…that’s ok though, I used that time to recover for the next exercise and then dug deep and pushed it during the last few!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I did my ab work(Ab Ripper X) first since I dread it so much…excellent strategy…gonna stick to it going forward.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I could have done the workout twice in all of that time.  After digging down real deep, I finally found the motivation to #getupandtrain&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thankfully my legs got a bit of a break…but the workout was still intense.  As I’m typing this I can still feel the burn in my arms and back.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;ARX was a different story.  I only got through 3 mins and 75 ab moves before &lt;em&gt;tapping out&lt;/em&gt;…no worries though I plan to pick up right where I left off when I get home.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After today’s strength training, I’m kind of looking forward to Insanity’s Pure Cardio tomorrow.&lt;/p&gt;
